The diverse sound of the folk music ensemble "Zelta stīdziņa" is formed by the interweaving of the voice and the playing of various instruments.
The repertoire of "Zelta stīdziņu" features folk music, compositions by composers of various eras and popular Latvian composers for ethno-cocktail, concert-cocktail, voice, violin, flute, cello, percussion.

Graduates and students of the Jelgava Music High School make music as part of the folk music ensemble "Zelta stīdziņa". 
The artistic director of the ensemble, Biruta Deruma, creates original compositions, covers of various compositions and folk music decorations for "Golden Strings".

The "Zelta stīdziņa" ensemble was founded in 2012 in Jelgava, and concert programs have also been performed elsewhere in Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, and Slovenia. The ensemble is a laureate of several international and Latvian competitions and shows - "Svirel"/Slovenia; "Metelitsa" multi-stringed folk instrument competition/Russia; Chamber music competition - festival/Lithuania; "Rising Stars"/Latvia; "Small Chamber Music Festival"/Latvia; The winner of the 1st degree of the song and dance holiday kokol ensembles spectacles and the 1st place winner in the individual program. "Zelta stīdzinas" plays music at the festivals - "Apstīgoju zelta kokli", "Gaismas cejs", "Kokļu winter festival", "Kokļu days in Jūrmala"/Latvia, "Friendship bridge" and "Kloniu aidai"/Lithuania.

Maggie Bruce and "Zelta stīdziņa" have played together with the St. Petersburg professional folk instrument orchestra "Meteļica"/Riga, St. Petersburg and Jelgava. The sound of the ensemble can be heard in the double album "Man māsiņa koklētāja" /Megija Bruce and "Zelta stīdzīna"/ and "Kokletėjs Samtabikse" /literary-musical fairy tale/.

The artistic performance of the folk music ensemble "Zelta stīdziņa" is a great treat for chamber music lovers.
