CHILDREN'S AND YOUNG PEOPLE'S DANCE COLLECTIVE "IEVIŅA"

Children's and youth dance collective "Ieviņa" was founded in 1984. The founder of the collective, Līga Ozola, named the collective after her daughter - Ieviņa. From 2019, the artistic director of the collective is Alise Daugava, who works with passion, inspiring children and young people.

Step by step, children and young people in "Ievinė" learn new dance steps, develop posture, improve musical perception and learn to hear their partner without talking and feel without looking. Dancing in a group teaches responsibility towards others, because all dancers are one team.

The collective performs both on the stages of Jelgava, goes on trips and participates in the Song and Dance Festival. Every dancer has the opportunity to go on concert trips abroad to participate in international dance festivals. These adventures remain in the memory for a lifetime!

The collective is friendly and accessible to those who want to dance from the age of three to adulthood. Therefore, everyone who loves dance is welcome - both those who already know the dance steps and those who have never tried to dance.

And most importantly, the "Ieviņas" dancer is happy in his face and in his heart!
