The sand sculpture park is open all summer

12. June, 2023.

The Sand Sculpture Festival has ended and the Post Island is open to visitors. But as of Tuesday, June 13, the sand art works will be available for a fee throughout the summer every day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The only exception is June 23 and 24, when the sand sculptures can be viewed from 12:00 to 18:00, and on June 25, the park will be open from 10:00 to 18:00.

The entrance fee to the sand sculpture park is fixed - 3 euros for adults, 2 euros for pupils, students, pensioners and people with disabilities. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket office on the Post Island at the entrance to the sand sculpture park.

On Post Island, 17 sculptors from nine countries have created their sand masterpieces, recreating world music hits. Sand art works on the Post Island were created by sculptors from Indonesia, the USA, Mongolia, Spain, the Netherlands, Ukraine, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia. Artists have recreated such world-famous compositions as "Hotel California", "Somewhere over the rainbow", "No Woman No Cry", "Take On Me" and others in sand art, visualizing their feelings created by well-known songs.

The most ambitious work of art in the Sand Sculpture Park is usually the demo sculpture, which was created by Latvian sculptors Kārlis and Maija Īles on the Post Island. They were inspired by the composition "Yellow Submarine" performed by the group "The Beatles".
