A sand sculpture park opens on Pasta Island

May 24, 2026

Starting May 24, the Sand Sculpture Park on Pasta Island will be open to visitors, offering a chance to view the works from this year’s 20th International Sand Sculpture Festival. This summer, the park has been transformed into a prehistoric world where dinosaurs and other inhabitants of the Jurassic period come to life in the sand.

The park is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., except on June 23 and 24, when it will be closed to visitors. Admission for adults is 3 euros, while for schoolchildren, students, seniors, and people with disabilities, it is 2 euros. Admission is free for children under 7 years of age. Tickets can be purchased on-site on Pasta Island at the ticket booth by the entrance, with payment accepted in cash or by credit card. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)

This year’s competition featured 15 professional sculptors from 10 countries—Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, the Netherlands, Spain, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Turkey, and the United States. In addition to the competition entries, visitors can also view the demo sculpture “Dinosaur Gathering,” created by Agnese Rudzīte-Kirillova from Latvia and Roger Ferralla from Spain, as well as the specially commissioned park entrance sculpture “Volcano,” created by sculptor Sanita Rāviņa.

The sand sculpture park on Pasta Island will be open all summer long, weather permitting.
