FOR THE INTERNATIONAL ICE SCULPTURE FESTIVAL – 25

From February 2 to 4, the 25th anniversary International Ice Sculpture Festival will take place in Jelgava - Jānis Čakste Boulevard and Pasta Island. This year, 32 professional sculptors from 11 countries - Ukraine, Indonesia, Argentina, Latvia, Netherlands, Lithuania, Estonia, Czech Republic, Mongolia, United Kingdom (UK) and Spain - will show their unique perspective on world treasures using ice sculpture. At the festival, 45 competition sculptures will be created, but in total more than 60 ice objects will be on display.
At the most magnificent event of winter in Jelgava, in addition to the works created in the competition, there will be an additional exhibition ice bar, ice sauna, photo sculptures, ice attractions and games.
“Biļešu paradīzē” festival ticket sales have started.
In advance sale ticket prices are cheaper until February 1.
On February 2, the festival area will be open from 18:00 to 22:00, when the festival will be officially opened, the winners of the competition will be awarded, visitors will be able to watch a fire show, sculpture demonstrations, and "Triānas parks" and "Musiqq" will perform.
On the other hand, on February 3 and 4, entrance to the festival will be from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. On these days, visitors will be able to watch how ice turns into works of art in exciting sculpture demonstration duels.
On February 3, in the first half of the day, children will be entertained with exciting play shows. In the evening, domestic and Lithuanian music stars - "Latgalīšu reps", "AC/DC Project" (Lithuania) and Aija Andrejeva will take the stage.
On February 4, visitors will be greeted by fun play shows for the whole family. In the evening's program - popular domestic music groups "Patrisha", "Lőgőligais tipis" and guests from Lithuania - "Jonis".
When purchasing an entry ticket, it will be valid for one-time entry on any of the event dates. Returning to the festival territory is possible only within one day, upon presentation of the control stamp.
The international ice sculpture festival is organized by the city of Jelgava and the institution "Kultūra", supported by the companies "Ramirent" and "Husqvarna".
