Ā. Alunāna Jelgavas Theatre children’s play “Shurumburums and Illusion Tricks”

In the latest play, "Shurumburums un ilūziju triki" (Šurumburums and Illusion Tricks), children's favorite Čika Trika will seek inspiration for new tricks. She will be helped by Labā doma (Right Thought), but criticized by Kreisā doma (Left Thought). Out of the blue, Feja (Fairy) and Burvju māksliniece (Magician) will appear together with their assistants.

Little and big viewers are invited to actively participate in games, songs, and fun activities to make a real Shurumburum!

Visitors will have the opportunity to see how sculptors create works of art – sculptures – from ordinary blocks of ice. Two ice sculptors from Latvia, Sanita Rāviņa and Kristaps Andersons, will create ZIB sculptures in less than an hour.

Illusionist Valdemārs Weiss

Illusionist Valdemārs Weiss has been fascinated by magic tricks since the age of seven and is a member of several international illusionist clubs. He learned magic tricks both through self-study and private lessons with several European masters and at international festivals. He has performed in more than 16 countries and has impressed two Latvian presidents with his skills. He is the only illusionist in the world to have performed at an altitude of 7-12 kilometers above the ground.

Awards Ceremony

The winners of the 27th International Ice Sculpture Competition will be honored at the awards ceremony. This year, 20 sculptors are participating in the competition, creating 30 ice sculptures – 10 team sculptures and 20 individual sculptures. The ceremony will present the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes in both the team and individual categories, as well as the Jury's Choice Award in both categories.

Musical Group “Vintāža”

"Vintāža" has become one of the most recognizable bands that professionally revives Latvian pop songs from the 1960s to the 1980s. It has performed in many places in Latvia, offering concert programs that take listeners on a musical journey through the history of Latvian pop music. The musical group "Vintāža's" first album, "Atmiņu lāse. Latviešu estrādes piezīmes", received the "Zelta Mikrofons 2022" award for music recording of the year, confirming its high artistic and musical quality. "Vintāža" often collaborates with guest artists and soloists in their concerts to create a broader pop music atmosphere, and this time they will be joined on stage by trombonist and vocalist Gati Supi.

INSTRUMENTI

Instruments – a group formed by Jānis Šipkēvics, Reinis Sējāns and Gatis Zaķis, in collaboration with an outstanding creative and technical team, have always stood out for their ability to create unforgettable concerts, in which the bright elements of the show form a harmonious combination with moments of an intimate and fragile atmosphere, thus creating a unique and memorable experience for everyone present.

In 2024, the band Instrumenti delighted their listeners with a new album, Runā Rīga, and to mark this occasion, they held a grand concert show at Arena Riga at the end of October. Instrumenti first filled the arena at the end of 2011 as part of a concert series for their debut album TRU. Since then, Instrumenti's biggest concerts have taken place at the Mežaparks Grand Stage and Daugava Stadium.

The band has released eight albums: TRU, Procrastination, Iekams, Atkala, Cilvēks, Priecīgus, Runā Rīga, and Ziemassvētkus.
