Ensemble “Tandēms trijatā”
The ensemble "Tandēms trijatā" was founded in 2011 in the cellars of Jelgava Palace, in honor of the Jelgava Palace Christmas Ball. The ensemble's repertoire includes songs to sing and dance along to, based on the traditional Latvian song form of a first verse and a chorus.
The songs acquire a special sound, resonating through the ensemble's instrumentation and the three musicians' slightly ironic view of both serious and less serious topics, everyday situations, and even weather conditions. Representatives from Jelgava, Kandava, and Valmiera meet on one stage—a vivid and unusual combination that makes each concert a special event.
