Winners of the 27th International Ice Sculpture Competition have been announced

Today, February 7, the winners of the 27th International Ice Sculpture Competition were announced in Jelgava. Throughout the week, breathtaking ice artworks on the theme of "The Power of Illusion" were created on Pasta Island by 20 sculptors from 12 countries. The artists worked in teams and individually to create sculptures that now delight visitors and immerse them in a world of illusions.
The festival jury, consisting of experienced experts, carefully evaluated each work and selected the winners in two categories.

Visitors are invited to view the sculptures throughout the weekend. On February 7 and 8, Jelgava will host the 27th International Ice Sculpture Festival with an extensive cultural program for the whole family. Visitors can enjoy activities for children, science shows, sculpture-making contests, illusionist performances, silent discos, a free "hospitality zone," and concerts.
On Saturday, "Vintāža" and "Instrumenti" will take to the stage, while on Sunday, "Tandēms trijatā", Normunds Rutulis together with the Slaveno Rīgas orchestra will perform, and the festival will conclude with the energetic ethno-music group "Tautumeitas".
