World masterpieces will be on display in the sand art works in Jelgava

Very soon, on June 4 and 5, the most ambitious sand sculpture park in the Baltics "Summer Signs 2022" will open its doors on the island of Pasta, where the world's masterpieces in the works of artists from 10 countries will find a home.
The divine proportion or the golden section, the splendor of the traditional masks of Venice, the interpretation of Pablo Picasso's painting "Guernica", the Science Center in Canada, built in the shape of a snowflake; a chameleon that changes color under the influence of its environment; modern technologies - these are all masterpieces created by man, nature or the universe, masterpieces that take your breath away for a moment. This is exactly the feeling of admiration, surprise, and inspiration that this year's Sand Sculpture Park artists will create - giving visitors the opportunity to get to know outstanding achievements, masterpieces and masterpieces.
Sculptors will start to bring their ideas to life on the Post Island on May 30, but an entertainment program for visitors is also planned for the two days of the event. In order to prepare for the event, the Post Island will be closed to visitors from June 2 for security reasons.
The sand sculpture park will be created by 17 artists from 10 countries
Very soon, 17 sculptors from 10 countries - the Czech Republic, Spain, Ukraine, Canada, Turkey, Bulgaria, Mongolia, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia - will arrive in Jelgava to start work on creating sand sculptures. Artists will create 15 competition and demo sculptures on the Post Island.
Sculptors will begin creating the sculptures on Monday, May 30. This week, the territory of the Post Island will be prepared for the event, therefore, due to security reasons, the island will be closed to visitors from June 2.
Summer Signs 2022 opening day programme
The Sand Sculpture Park will be open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on June 4 and 5. There are also various activities for children on both days, including bubble workshops, foam parties and attractions. Vinyl DJ Mareks Ameriks will take care of the musical atmosphere on the Post island on both days. On the other hand, on Saturday, June 4, Riga Reggae will perform at 7 p.m., and Edavārdi at 9 p.m. On Sunday, June 5, at 8 p.m., visitors will be entertained by Ivo Fomins.
Tickets are already available at all "Bilešu Paradīze" box offices and on the website bilesuparadize.lv. It should be noted that tickets can be bought cheaper in the advance sale - until June 3.
The International Sand Sculpture Park is created by the city of Jelgava and the institution "Kultūra", supported by "Ramirent", "Pilsētas Elpa".
