Today, February 9, the 22nd International Ice Sculpture Festival ended in Jelgava. For three days, visiting the ice superheroes, we enjoyed together the ambitious and amazing ice art, demonstrations of its creation and a wide cultural program for both adults and children.<\/strong><\/p>

On the final day of the festival, the festive program was introduced by fun play shows for the smallest guests of the event, and we were especially happy about the interactive photo objects. Also, throughout the day, we followed the demonstrations of ice art creation, performed by sculptors Ainars Zingnik and Agnese Rudz\u012bte - Kirillova. The artists each created three quick sculptures during the day.<\/p>

On the other hand, already in the middle of the evening program, the ice art duels performed by Sanita R\u0101vi\u0146a and Agnes Rudz\u012bte - Kirillova moved to the central stage of the festival on J\u0101nis \u010cakste Boulevard. But the cultural program was supplemented by concerts of popular musicians in Latvia - A-Europa, Ralfs Eiland and Singapore Satin. At the end of the evening, festive fireworks and light games.<\/p>

During the ice sculpture festival, Jelgavnieks and city guests could appreciate more than 65 ice works of art created by 40 world-renowned sculptors on the theme \"Superheroes\". During the week, competing for the title of the best sculptor, sculptors from seven countries made 30 individual and 15 team sculptures. The tallest sculpture exceeds the three-meter mark. Also, the range of ice objects of the festival was supplemented by photo sculptures created by Latvia's most titled sculptor K\u0101r\u013cis \u012ale and the Ice Wines Ice Bar, which was the biggest object of the festival.<\/p>
