On the opening days of the festival - concerts of popular musicians in Latvia and a wide program for families with children.<\/strong><\/p><p>This year, the festival will gather sculptors from Indonesia, USA, Mongolia, Spain, Netherlands, Ukraine, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia. The theme of the festival \"World Hits\" inspired them to express in sand art such world-famous songs as \"Hotel California\", \"Somewhere over the rainbow\", \"No Woman No Cry\", \"Take On Me\" and others, visualizing the feelings that good brings to us all known songs. The most ambitious work of art in the Sand Sculpture Park will usually be a demo sculpture created by Latvian sculptors K\u0101rlis and Maija \u012ales. They were inspired by the composition \"Yellow Submarine\" performed by the group \"The Beatles\".<\/p><blockquote><p>However, you will be able to hear our own music hits performed by popular musicians in Latvia on the opening days of the festival on June 10 and 11 in the open-air concert hall \"M\u012btava\" on Pasta Island. Lauris Reiniks, \"Credo\", \"De Speakable\" will play music on Saturday, and \"Very Cool People\" and Paula Saija, \"Sudden Lights\" and \"Dzelzss vilks\" bands will delight festival visitors on Sunday. Both days there will also be a wide program for families with children - attractions, shows and performances. On June 10 and 11, the park will be open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.<\/p><\/blockquote><p>Tickets to the International Sand Sculpture Festival can be purchased at \"Bi\u013ce\u0161u parad\u012bze\" ticket offices and online. Ticket prices in advance until June 9 are lower. Ticket for an adult \u2013 7 euros; for pupils, students, pensioners and people with disabilities \u2013 4 euros, but a family ticket can be purchased for 15 euros. Discounts with Jelgava student card and \"Jelgava V\u0113stne\u0161a\" coupon are available only in advance at the Jelgava House of Culture box office. The price of the ticket when presenting the Jelgava student card is 3 euros, with the \"Jelgava V\u0113stnes\" coupon - 5 euros.<\/p><p>On the other hand, the entrance fee for adults during the festival is 10 euros; for pupils, students, pensioners and people with disabilities \u2013 5 euros, and a family ticket \u2013 20 euros.
