Ticket sales have begun for the 20th International Sand Sculpture Festival<\/strong>, who may 23<\/strong> Pasta Island in Jelgava will celebrate its anniversary. This year, the event will feature a particularly extensive program\u2014impressive sand sculptures, a variety of activities for families, and a spectacular evening concert program at the \u201cM\u012btava\u201d open-air concert hall.<\/p>

In this anniversary year, the festival\u2019s theme will take visitors on a journey millions of years into the past\u2014Pasta Island will become a place where the past is reborn in the sand Stories of the Jurassic<\/strong>. Internationally renowned sculptors will create impressive works of art featuring dinosaurs, ancient sea creatures, and rulers of the skies, revealing the power of nature, the struggle, and the harmony between life and the surrounding world.<\/p>

Throughout the day, festival-goers can also look forward to a wide-ranging entertainment program\u2014performances for children, foam parties, wooden games, \u201cJogita\u2019s Events\u201d creative workshops, shows by the improvisational theater group \u201cSpiediens,\u201d and other anniversary surprises. In the evening, the open-air concert hall \u201cM\u012btava\u201d will host its season-opening concert featuring artists beloved in Latvia \u2013 Samanta T\u012bna<\/strong>, groups \u201cKautkaili\u201d<\/strong> and \u201cPienved\u0113ja Piedz\u012bvojumi\u201d<\/strong>, as well as hip-hop artist Fi\u0146\u0137i<\/strong>.<\/p>

The festival organizers encourage you to purchase tickets in advance, as they are available at a discounted price through May 16. During the presale, a single-day ticket for adults costs 10 euros, while tickets for schoolchildren, students, seniors, and people with disabilities cost 5 euros; while a family ticket (2 adults and 2 children or 1 adult and 3 children) or a \u201c3+ Family Card\u201d costs 20 euros.<\/p>

With the coupon from \u201cJelgavas V\u0113stnesis\u201d (April 21 issue) or by presenting a Jelgava resident card, tickets are available at the Jelgava Culture House for 7.00 EUR; while tickets are available for 4.00 EUR at the Jelgava Culture House upon presentation of a Jelgava student ID.<\/p>

From May 17 to May 23, ticket prices will be higher: a day ticket for adults will cost 15 euros, for schoolchildren, students, seniors, and people with disabilities \u2013 7 euros, and a family ticket \u2013 30 euros. Admission will be free for children under 7 years of age.<\/p>

A day pass allows you to leave the festival grounds and return multiple times, including attending Museum Night events and later returning for the evening concert program. Tickets can be purchased at \u201cBi\u013ce\u0161u Parad\u012bze\u201d ticket offices throughout Latvia, at the Jelgava Culture House box office, as well as online via the ticket sales website. Tickets can also be presented electronically on a mobile device; there is no need to print them.<\/p>
