A theater where every end is a new beginning.<\/p>

The Jelgava New Theater lives up to its name by staging contemporary plays and implementing experiments in form and content.<\/p>

For 25 years, the values of the theater have been creativity, courage and truth on stage.<\/p>

The aims of the theater are:
J \u2013 The search for new theater content and form;
J \u2013 Fostering youth theater education;
T \u2013 Development of theater art in Latvia.<\/p>

The tasks of the theater include selecting actors, training the basic elements of acting, ensuring the rehearsal process, staging performances and their public demonstration. The theater has existed since 1992. Its founders are directors Agris Kr\u016bmi\u0146\u0161 and Lolita Mui\u017eniece. During twenty-five years, directors Imants Jaunzems and \u012erts \u0160olis, choreographer Alda Skrasti\u0146a, speech teacher El\u012bna Aps\u012bte and lecturer Astra Kacena, as well as director Rihards G\u0101le, have worked in the theater. Since 2019, the theater has been directed by director Antra Leite-Straume. Actors from the age of 15 work in the theater. Theater classes are held twice a week at the cultural house \"Rota\".
